    Hi there,
Finally I configured my multisite, with three preliminary subdomains. Now, i find two different problems:

    – One of them (fotos.agbdesign.es) does not seem to exist. Browser will not find anything.
    – The other two (blog and libros.agbdesign.es) do open a dummy page from my host, 1&1.es…

Do I need to register the subdomains at the provider, which path is set by default by WP in multisite mode?

    thanks,

    AlbertoG

    AlbertoG!

It looks like you got this to work. Care to share how you fixed it so that it might help other users with the same issue?

    Hi Bet, of course!

As it seems, several things happened simultaneously.

First, and most important, it seems that my Mac keyboard (compact version) has some issues between apostrophes, accent marks and quotes. I typed something wrong when adding the initial line. Finally I copied and pasted the line in the example, and it did work ??

Then, during my multiple trials I did not deactivate the plugins at the right moment. As it seems, this affects the activation of the network menu. If you have the same issue as me, take a deep breath and follow the steps one by one.

Finally, my ISP (1&1.es) seems to be working with some internal caching, then any change I did to my files took about 10 minutes to go live for the initial network setup. Cleaning my local history and cache did not help at all… I just had to wait (a bit longer).

I must say, once the change is active at the ISP all WP updates are immediate, indeed (as they have to, with PHP).
