Anyone know of some good photo albums?

I have heard of NextGen, however I am on 3.5.2 and am a little hesitant to update to 3.6, which is required. Paying money for a plugin could possibly be an option here, I just need something where I can classify the photos into groups, say we have photos for one company, so we want them organized as such, not just a gallery full of pictures. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also Wp photo album won’t cut it, it’s just too plain!
