Anyone hosting at Godaddy ?

  • Is there any blogger hosting their blog at Godaddy without any problem.

    I get to hear lot of fuss about Godaddy.com’s hosting in this forum, I have my website hosted at Godaddy.com for quite a few years and running without any problem.

    I chose Godaddy as it’s one of the cheapest and perhaps the most popular web hosting service out there with a decent service as far as website hosting is concerned.

    I am planning to start a blog using WordPress at my site (in a different directory). I don’t want to take another host or service as I want to keep the domain name same as my current site.

    Now the issues I get to hear in this forum about Godaddy are bothering me.

    It would be great if any satisfied Godaddy customer could say they are using Godaddy with WordPress without any issues.

  • i had a development blog installed on godaddy’s shared hosting for about 3 months. I only put it up to see if I could replicate some/any of the most common problems reported here. My install went perfectly, and I had NO problems during that 3 month period, to speak of.

    The important thing to remem when reading posts here is that this is a support forum, not a “things are going great” forum, so it makes sense that, for the most part, all thats going to be seen is problems.

    And, merely because someone else experiences issues doesnt mean you necessarily will, or should even bother worrying about things that _might_ happen in the future.

    A good 90% of the issues here are user issues, not WordPress issues that are reproducable. The 10% that are reproducable …

    Hi there,

    I have been using Godaddy for years now and am very happy with their service. I have just registered a blog and have to admit I couldn’t quite install the wordpress manually on my own. But I didn’t have to! Godaddy can install the wordpress for you with just a click of the button. Check out the following link for further info: https://help.godaddy.com/article.php?article_id=834

    I don’t know about the other problems that others are facing here but my installation and so far use of wordpress with godaddy hosting has been a breeze.
