Doing an initial backup on WP 5.1.1 / PHP 7+ on a GoDaddy-hosted site, with an upgraded I/O and memory package.

Noticed that XCloner is maxing out I/O’s and available memory for brief periods. Any way to “rate-limit” XCloner on resource usage so that it doesn’t max out the server?

Didn’t see any settings to that effect on my initial look at the plugin configuration. If it doesn’t exist yet, any suggestions on how to manage this issue?

Also, a potentially related question…. Is it necessary to use the built-in encryption in XCloner when using B2 Backblaze remote storage? I can see that reducing the memory / I/O requirements significantly on the local server side if it doesn’t have to encrypt a large tar file. Thoughts?

Encryption is an option, and yes, if you need to use less server resources, you can always disable it, the backups will get created just fine.
