I like the ability to hide empty fields in the emails if the user didn’t fill them out. I did read this, but there doesn’t seem to be a fix available for empty Sections.

    Any solutions?

    Hi @toad78

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

The solution that you linked to is meant to hide form fields (from e-mail notifications) that were submitted as empty. I’m not sure, however, what do you mean by empty sections.

A “section” field is just a “divider” to help “organize” forms. It cannot be empty in that sense that user doesn’t fill it in because it has no input to be filled.

But in a notification e-mail if you’re using “{all_fields}” placeholder, those sections will be included now, just like on form. If you instead of {all_fields} use placeholders for specific/selected form fields, then sections won’t be included unless you specifically add them.

I suppose thought that I might be missing a point here so if you could please explain a bit more what do you mean by “fix available for empty Sections”, I’ll be more than happy to check it for you to see if we can solve that too.

    Best regards,
    Adam

My concern is that if a user does not fill in an optional field, instead of the label posting in the email, I’d rather NOTHING post in the email for the that field.

    Hello @toad78

I hope you are doing well!

Please try the following workaround provided by our developers. Please create a file called forminator-all-fields.php inside the /wp-content/mu-plugins/. If the /mu-plugins/ doesn’t exisit, please feel free to create it.

Add inside the code that you can find here.

Please edit the form, and go to Email Notifications. Edit the email notification you’ve created and make sure {all_fields} is added in the content’s body. Please see this screenshot:
    https://monosnap.com/file/Dx0Fhm6nI11U61hZiRXJo80BwY4j1A

This will not include empty fields inside an email notification.

    Have a good day!

    Cheers,
    Nastia
