I’m converting a very old website to WP, and there are thousands of images that I’ve moved into RPS galleries. Some of these images need a caption, and that part is working fine where I need it and have put one in. But the vast majority of the images need no title or caption of any sort, and so the fields are blank in the media library.

The problem I’m trying to solve is how to eliminate the file name itself from displaying when I hover over any of these unidentified gallery images on a page. I know the default is to show the name of the file itself when the title and caption are left blank, but it’s not very desirable in the case of this particular site. And to relabel all these files one at a time is a scary idea.

Is there anything I can add to my child theme to override this hover effect?

    Thanks!
