  • new version… still no bulk editig…

Just wondering. I have EML 1.0.5 for WP 3.9.1. How come the bulk update (a great idea) is implemented in 1.0.4.x?

    Neat plugin!

+1 to bulk editing, any idea when the feature could be implemented?

    Hello all,

Sorry for a long silence. Please read my explanation here and here. And thanks for your patience once again.

I am REALLY working on this right now. Will do my best to provide a solution as soon as possible.

    Nadia

Just uploaded a new version V1.1.1.1 to https://www.de-baat.nl/enhanced-media-library/ which includes the bulk actions with the official version V1.1.1.

It is there to download and re-use…

Still doesn’t work for me. I really want to be able to do this.

    Sorry to hear this.
Did you check the settings to enable the additional bulk functionality?
Can you elaborate on what exactly is not working?

I don’t see a place in settings to enable bulk functionality. Assigning taxonomies is working great.

The updated version introduces new parameters to show or hide the new toggle buttons. When the update is installed anew, this value is by default on. If the update however is installed over an existing installation, the value is off. The value can be manipulated via the Media Settings => Taxonomies menu. See https://www.de-baat.nl/enhanced-media-library/ for more information.

I updated to new version, In media library view I get two “toggle bulk” buttons instead of one and bulk toggle function does not work properly (it added few images to taxonomy and stopped working after that). Could there be some plugin conflict? I have the newest wp.

It does not work for me. I uninstalled and re-installed the plugin but I do not see any option in Media Settings > Taxonomies to “toggle bulk” and there is no toggle bulk in the Medial Library.

    Thanks for the feedback!

I agree with Marianoi, this does not work. I have a new WP install 3.9.2 and the latest version of this plugin. A fresh site. I installed the plugin but I do not see any option in Media Settings > Taxonomies to “Bulk assign in Media Library”, all the other taxonomies are there.

I’ve also updated the plugin on another site and can confirm that “Bulk assign in Media Library” does not exist either.

So, 2 sites, no options for Bulk assign. Check the screenshot below.

I also do not see the option to enable bulk assignments on my media categories settings.

A case of “wow I found what what I need” and 2mn later.. no bulk editing.. ?! REALLY ?! “Oh I’ll be damned yet another mostly useless plugin.” How is that even not a priority for such a plugin.. IS it that hard to implement ? Because its importance must be obvious to anyone.. so I cannot see any other explanation.

The approach to Media Libray is by far its weakest point and for some reason they stick with it.. Which is reeeeeaaallly weird to me.. And I have yet to find a plugin to fix this issue and make the Library manageable.

When clients ask why it’s all organised in terms of upload dates, I shamefully have to tell them.. “you know WordPress was originally a Blogging platform..” and then reassure them it can really handle “real” websites..

The version that adds the feature is actually on the dev’s site 1.1.1.1 not the 1.1.1 on the repository.. Not sure why, maybe he is scared the feature is still a sort of Beta feature ? Dunno it works well on WordPress 4 RC.

    I’m saved !
