Any way to automatically get the URL from post content?

This is a great plugin, and works perfectly. I need to find a way to automatically pull the URL used here from the post content (say, the first URL, or in a specific context…?that’s a bit flexible), rather than having to manually enter it. Anyone have an idea of a hack or additional plugin that could accomplish this?
