    Okay so using incognito is no problem. The login comes up each time I go to the site with a new Incognito tab. The problem is I would like to set PPWP to not send the browser cookie that allows returning guests to bypass the the login (regardless of browser). Basically make it so that a user needs to login every time they come to my site (because their browser is not sent a cookie). I’m using siteground as my server plan and they have server side caching. I use divi theme on the site. Really nice little plugin BTW but I would love to have something I can completely disable the cookie to browser with (Is there code I can place in the functions php of my child theme etc?) so that PPWP requires login every single time someone comes to the site?? Is this doable?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @grantmahy,

    Thanks for reaching out to us last night.

    If so, you can use session cookies instead.

    Just add ?ppws=1 to your page URLs, and your users will be logged out right after closing their browsers.

    Alternatively, you can upgrade to our PPWP Pro version to implement session cookies automatically using a code snippet.

    Let us know if it makes sense to you.

    @ppwp

    How do you add ?ppws=1 to your post/page URL

    when the wordpress editor automatically
    Encodes the characters ? To – and  = to –  when you try to rename the post or page

    You can’t be suggesting manually adding that  each time we want to share our links. What if the user removes the ?ppws=1 and goes ahead accessing the original link as it is ?

    Why Can’t it just be a simple toggle option or snippet to make the post or page require a password on each reload ?

    Thanks guys, I disabled the plugin and installed another that gave more flexibility without having to purchase the premium. Appreciate the freebie however – it just wasn’t as ideal, for my purposes, as another freebie.
