Any way I can have multi date calendars one-above-the-other?

If an event lasts more than one day, the calendar dates stack beside each other. This pushes all the single calendar dates over to the right so they are no longer aligned to the left margin. Is there any way I can have dates for events that last more than one day stacked one-above-the-other rather than side by side? This would mean all dates would be evenly aligned on the left.
