• Hi,

I want to allow anyone to add a post to my blog?
How do I enable this feature and will I need to confirm every user first before they post?

    Another question:
I would like to add a couple of paragraphs to the front page to specify the blog’s purpose before the posts begin.

    How doI achieve this?

    Thanks

  • Best bet would be to make them register first actually and get wordpress to assign them the level of contributor instead of subscriber. You can do the new level at Dashboard -> options -> General -> New User Default Role.

    2) That’s a sticky. Please give this a try.

    Hope this helps,

Thank you..is there a way to have make the front page an intro to the blog, then posts would be on another page?

    Yes – under Options > Reading…

There is the option to use static pages instead of the “latest posts”. Create two page ie Home & News and the link the front page to Home and the lastest posts to News

    Hope that makes sense
