• Hi, I’m using WP 2.7.1 (waiting for 2.8.x to be stable before I upgrade, half of my plugins don’t work with the latest version) and I have a big problem with WP URLs.

My website works like this, using permalinks:
    https://www.mywebsite.com/mycategory/mypostname/

And I just realized whatever I put in the URL, it still delivers a page (without the CSS) instead of a 404 error page (which is uploaded in my theme folder, of course):
    https://www.mywebsite.com/mycategory/blabla/mypostname/

Does somebody know where the problem comes from? I checked everything but I couldn’t find the problem… Thanks for your help!

Hi wearitwell and ryans149, thanks for answering me. I’m setting up a blog for my company and it’s filtered by IP, so I’m afraid there is no way I can show you anything ;(

‘blabla’ doesn’t mean anything, it was just to illustrate my problem: whatever I type in the URL give my the same post page with a broken CSS. I don’t understand why I don’t get the 404 error page instead of this post page…

Maybe this post can help you
    Error pages
But it’s hard to say without seeing the page.
I would also install the web developer Add-on to firefox and check out why the css is broken. The path must be wrong. Find out where it points ….
We’ll have to go step by step here and hope to come up with the right thing in the process.
