    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I’m afraid we haven’t made any progress on this yet. The ticket is still opened, and you can add yourself in cc to follow our progress:

    Tanks for the update.

May I ask why you guys aren’t using this version? This seems to be the “official” button.

You can see an example another plug in I”m using that uses the correct button on https://noahsdad.com – all of the buttons are the same size as the ones you guys use, except the like button functions correctly.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys do.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

There are actually 3 different official Like buttons, as you can see here:
    https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button/

All 3 of them allow you to leave comments when Liking a post.

The iFrame version, however, has a few extra limitations; the Comment box pop up only appears in a few circumstances:

    • The width of the button is at least 450 pixels
    • The button uses the layout=”standard” option

As you guess, Jetpack uses the iFrame version, and since the Like button is smaller than the requirements, so the Comment box cannot actually be displayed.

We’ll see about updating the sharing module to use the HTML5 version of the button if possible.

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell which one the current plug in I’m using uses?

Cool. It would be AMAZING if you guys could use that. I could rid of another plug in. ??
