Any Tips When Still White Screen When FTP Upload

  • I’ve used this plugin successfully to fix whitescreen problems twice before. In both cases, I did the upload method. This time, even at the troubleshoot page, I have a white screen. Do you have any tips to deal with this type of problem?

    Hi @mtuser2012 I would guess something is wrong at a server configuration level (possibly an .htaccess file or permissions on the directory).

    To help eliminate that possibility, I’d try create a file like test.txt with a few words in it. Then try loading https://yoursite.com/test.txt and see if that loads properly.

    If that doesn’t load, then the problem may have nothing to do with WordPress or even PHP. There might be something wrong with the server configuration.

    If the test.txt file *does* show up, I’d suspect that your hosting company upgraded the version of PHP or something that’s causing a fatal error with one of your older WP plugins.
