• I’m new to WordPress which I want to use to create a website rather than a blog, ie the pages pages will only change on a monthly basis, and I don’t want any comments/dialogue, just the content provided by the website owner.

I want to be able to have full control the positioning of content, ie I don’t want to have WP reorganise the order of any content.

And, I want to have multiple pages.

Q1 – am I best to use a blog page, or to create my own ‘pages’

  • You need to create “pages” only.

And if you have theme editing skills and little knowledge in CSS and PHP, you can definitely modify them not to use comments and other things and you can set the theme exactly as a web page and not as a blog site.

    Thanks.

Any suggestions as to where to look good for tutorials/videos on this?
