Any reason why Featured Content Gallery would break my page?

I’ve got a lightly customized Revolution Elements theme and had their Featured Content Gallery plugin just above the regular content. I input the gallery code above the loop on the main index, customized sizes, used the “Featured” slug, and put the image urls in the articleimg custom field. Everything works fine for a little while (usualy a few hours), then everything goes crazy. The images come out of the gallery and spread themselves down the page. The first image is where the gallery is, the rest space themselves at the same distance down as my FCG height that I set up. To get them to go away I need to not only disable the plugin, but delete the plugin code in the main index, then I need to delete the custom “articleimg” fields to get the page looking operable again sans the fcg.

I am reluctant to ask for help in their support forums since they are pretty reluctant to provide any assistance unless you purchase “theme support.” Has anyone else experienced similar problems and can point me in the right direction? https://www.1337life.com
