When I export my live site to local computer, do I need to keep all the tables and data or delete them all? I wanna redesign this site on local computer.

Hi @breadf, thanks for your question.

Are you planning on continuing to run the live site with Wordfence while you work on the local version and plan to update it later or will the site be unavailable? Also when you mention keeping tables and data, is this when disabling the plugin on the live version in order to make a full site backup or after importing the site to your local environment?

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Hi Peter,

Yes I still need it. I just modify this site for different purpose and then upload to a different hosting.

    Thanks,

    Hi @breadf,

I would keep the tables and data for now in case you need to restore settings, but remove the firewall optimization and disable Wordfence on the local/development environment to prevent any connectivity or PHP errors if Wordfence can’t connect to our servers and back: https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/optimizing-the-firewall/#removing-the-optimization

    Thanks again,
    Peter.
