Any plugin for customize search

Hi Bilal,

I don’t know of any specific plugins that can do that, but you can totally do it with custom code because I have actually implemented it in a site I own.
LMK if that is smth you would be interested in and I’ll walk you through it. If you are, I would need a link to your site and to the theme you are using.

If i could develop plugin my own, I should have build this one, as it should be in a site with a lot of data.

I would also love if you give me url of your site, so i can see the search boxes you have created.

I knew php,html,css,mysql medium level, I am sure i can implement with your help.

@michael: That’s the plugin I am using in conjunction with custom code on the user input to be allow search by tag, category, and/or author if desired.
However, last time I checked, the plugin supports that option but the search form needs to be customized to actually include the functionality.

@bilal: You can see the custom search in action in elblawg.com (no link because it is a site that I run and I don’t want to do self-promotion). Also, development in that site has been suspended for a while so there is no real content yet and things are rather raw design-wise (using a customized theme). The site is in Spanish, so just in case, the search bar is on the top right corner of the page.
LMK if that’s what you had in mind.
