Any plans to support custom fields in newsletter builder?

My client wants to use MailPoet to build newsletters that include events created by the Modern Tribe events calendar plugin. Including the events themselves is no problem (thanks for supporting custom post types!), but showing the event date or venue does not seem to be possible – please correct me if I’m wrong (the answer from this post seems to indicate that it’s not possible, but that was 10 months ago).

Are there any plans to add support for postmeta / custom fields in the newsletter builder in the future? A custom shortcode would be a less than ideal solution for my client. Thanks!
