    this plugin should no longer be necessary, and is not a great implementation anyway – it just wraps a JS library for this.

    It never was ‘necessary’ ??
    Still… was ‘cutting the chase’ for those asking question ‘why this website is not working correctly on my browser?’, so was nice to have anyway ??
