Any one using BuddyPress? Please help!

Here are screenshots of some of the errors that displayed before we were ‘locked out’.

This is a known bug that has to do with out of date plugins.

Open your theme’s functions.php file, probably located in /wp-content/themes/[name-of-your-theme]. Before the last ?>, put the following:

if ( !function_exists( 'is_site_admin' ) ) :
  function is_site_admin() {
    return is_super_admin();
  }
endif;

Will I have to do the disabling of plugins thing to identify the culprit after inserting the snippet you’ve provided?

Will check any responses tomorrow as I’m off out now.

Boone’s fix sorted out access so we are now back in! woo hoo…

Now a slightly different problem:
We’re getting the following message on all admin pages –

The following active BuddyPress Components do not have associated WordPress Pages: Activity Streams, Discussion Forums, User Groups, Members, Activate, Register.

The related settings page is asking us to associate these with WordPress pages but they were previously associated with pages automatically created by BuddyPress and nestled under ‘Community’. These ‘Community’ pages are not shown in our WP page structure and so cannot be selected via the admin page referred to above.

The ‘Community’ pages are now showing a Page Not Found message.

Any suggestions?

By the way the offending plugin was ‘bp registration options’.

BuddyPress 1.5 has a new system for assigning community pages.

You now have to set the pages up first and use the BP tool to assign the applications.
