• I use Infolinks in-text adverts on my site. These can usually be turned on and off using tags <–INFOLINKS_OFF–> an On. However since installing this plugin, I can no longer turn off the Infolinks in either cetain posts, or in certain parts of the post.

The tags are inserted in my text editor and can be seen, but Infolinks have tested and cannot see the OFF tag in the source code for the pages and the InfoLinks still work even when I don’t want them to.

They tell me that Caching software could be to blame, “as comments are redundant and take up unnecessary space, and caching plugins usually have a function to trim out redundant content (like spaces). “

Does anyone else use W3 Total Cache with Infolinks? Anyone else able to get this to work?

I’m sorry, I’m not a techie at all so I don’t know what other info to give or where to look but I really need to be able to turn off the ads in certain posts.

    Thanks

    Hi Pamela.

Yes, I ‘spoke’ with Renata several times. She told me it was a problem with the theme I was using. So I paid for premium support from my theme support and we both undertook a lot of testing, but found that within the theme, it worked perfectly.
Its certainly not a theme problem.
So I am trying to figure out other reasons, but its hard – I spent a lot on the theme support and got no where so now I am trying to sort it on the forums but not getting anywhere – no replies.

Pamela, are you aware of any incompatibility between Infolinks and W3 Total Cache?
Or have any other suggestions why I can’t turn off Infolinks?

    Deby
