I have a Woocommerce site with many plugins working. I love the idea of this as we not only sell frozen meat and seafood, but have many cooking hints, tips, and a recipe section on the site, and encourage comments and feedback. The idea of users referring inappropriate content to moderation is wonderful!

I installed the plugin today, and the extra column has appeared in the Comments area, but there is no ‘Report’ button showing against comments.

The only thing I can think of is that there may be a conflict with another plugin. The plugins on the site are:

    Hi again Jason,

Comments are enabled on Herb & Spice individual pages, and on Recipes and Cooking Tips.

    Hey Russell,

I don’t mean to be difficult… but i’m having a hard time find a post that does have comments on your site. Can you point me to one?

In general though I get the hunch that if you installed our other plugin, Epoch, it’d most definitely solve any comment-related issues you have. Epoch is free here in the repo and installs with just a few clicks. No configuration needed. Give it a try!

    Hi Jason,

You’re not being difficult at all. I made an assumption I shouldn’t have made. I assumed you’d just make a few comments yourself to check it out. The site has only just gone ‘live’ so there are no real comments.

The good news is that I have found why the ‘Report’ button wasn’t showing. As there was only one comment (one I’d left while logged in as Admin and then changed the nickname) I logged out to add another – and the ‘Report’ button appeared. Once I log in as Admin, the button disappears. I hadn’t thought to log out to check it.

Thanks so much for creating such a useful pluging and thanks even more for your help. I’m just sorry I wasted your time.

Perhaps something can come of this – put a note in the description or install instrucitons saying that the ‘Report’ button may not appear when logged in as admin?

    Thanks again for your help,
    Russell

    Hey Russell!

Sure thing. I’m glad you figured it out. We do need to flesh out the documentation a bit more. We’ll get to that soon!
