Any Issue if Not Update COre Theme

  • Hello,

    Please tell me that If I do not update my Main/Core theme to latest verion then It will create any problem for my website in Future or its OK to remain at same theme. As I have installed only the Main Theme with all major changes in it. SO now not possible for me to Install the Child theme with this. (BTW Only 1 theme active at one time i.e Chile or Parent).

    SO I will work for Parent theme.

    Please help me out.

    Hello,

    Amazing! I have updated the theme version to 0.2. It did not change style.css file changes but some changes made in index.php file. But I replaced the index.php with old one and site works fine.

    It it a good way to adopt for updating the theme?

    That can’t be correct.

    But I replaced the index.php with old one and site works fine.

    Don’t replace anything, leave parent theme alone:) Put index.php in child theme folder and it will overwrite parent theme index.php.

    Just simply tell me?

    1. I just made changes in Child Theme?
    2. Which Theme I active for live site? Parent/Child
    3. I child would active then I do not need to active Parent same time?

    It would be good that I just replace the whole code of styles.css and some other changed file code from parent to child theme and theme will work and at backed parent theme work itself?
