Any hope for more than 4 columns?

Hello! This is more of a feature request, but now that we have higher resolution and much wider real estate to work with, sometimes 4 is just too few columns, especially if the page is full-width. The images are huge or there’s too much room between columns. Any hope of getting 5 or 6 columns added to the plugin in the very near future? Is that a huge undertaking? ??
