    Hi,

I had a MultiSite WP got hacked so I had to removed everything from the server and database.

I used BackupBuddy to do the backup for quite a while so I still have the backup files which was supposed to let me restore the whole MultiSite.

But I tried to restore the sites quite a few times, although the site seemed to be working after restore but I lost access to Network Admin and even with the correct login info I still cannot access it.

In addition to not able to access Network Admin, all the links and permalinks stop working. No matter which link I clicked, I will be take to the main page (home).

Is there any other alternative complete backup plugin that will work for MultiSite WP as I still have others sites that are MultiSite WP.

    Thanks.

Has anyone had any success with https://updraftplus.com for multisite?

    larsenja,

I downloaded and installed this app. It did (from what I immediately read) seemed like it was going to be pretty awesome. But after I installed and tested it, I kept having problems with the way it seemed to be working. It seemed, for some reason to create duplicate copies of the backups, and that alone caused me big concerns. I’m sure the developer could have helped me correct this, but I just didn’t want to keep pursuing it. So, if you do, please let me know what you think and find. Overall, it looks nice. Maybe not as nice as what I’m seeing as part of InfiniteWP (which is my newest website management and backup system that I’m looking at right now).

I’ll try to report back with what I find.

I actually went over to look at the ProVersion of BackWPUp. Looks like they hired the developer and released a version 3.0.

I did some research and it looks like that it adds a bunch of features, but doesn’t seem to add to the multi site functionality in any meaningful way. Like Gary, I want to be able to backup, restore a whole network and individual sites. I also want to use it to transfer sites from our standalone development site to our production multi site.

I will check out InfiniteWP Thanks for the heads up Gary!
