any goo pluging for spam registrations?

    Do you know a good pluging that stops spam registration and not just comments please?

    Of course it has to be compatible with the latest wordpress.

  • What Roles and Capabilities are you giving new registrants? I suggest a role of ‘subscriber’ and then to communicate with new subscribers to make sure they are not just a bot and to realize their true desires.

    Hello,

    I have a business directory template, new registrants have to be able to change their profile and details. I wonder if there is a plugin that can read databases full of spammer’s ip and in return stop these people from registering any services like this on the internet?

    You are inviting bots and spammers with such a setup…even if you found a plugin that works, none are 100% at catching known bad ip addresses. The only secure way is to manage users and moderate all content.

    The spam on wordpress is a nightmare…………..

    It’s caused by people who don’t want to manage their sites.
