    Hi,

I am trying to understand if there is any advantage in sub-domains when using WordPress.

If for example you are using BBPress and WooCommerce, would there be any advantage in have these in says “forum.domain.com” and “store.domain.com?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jim

If you don’t want your main site to load all those files (CSS, JavaScript, etc.) that come with additional plugins to make forum/store work, it may be better to separate those pages using sub domains. In that way, both sites (main and sub domain) run faster (i.e. loading less files). But, maintaining two websites is a bit more troublesome in many ways, too, though.

no advantage in sub domain, instead it depends what is your requirements.
