• Hello, I am using LifterLMS for one of my clients and we are currently in the debugging/testing phase. One of our testers could not complete the registration, and when I reviewed what could be causing the issue, I discovered that the Antispam settings being turned on in Cerber was causing our tester’s IP to be detected as a bot.

I did an additional test where I tried signing up while connected to a VPN and this same issue occurred.

Since there is a high percentage of people using VPNs these days, I am concerned that enabling any of the Antispam settings in Cerber will cause many real people to be blocked as bots/spam.

Other than not using the Antispam settings in your plugin, can you think of any other solution? I can certainly install a different spam solution, but I thought I would start with a support message.

Again … I have since disabled all the antispam settings. In case you were going to try testing this issue, you probably won’t have problems because the settings are turned off.

Hi! There could be many possible reasons for such behavior. Try to enable “Safe mode” on the “Anti-spam and bot detection settings” page.
