I run a third party newsletter plugin (Mailster) and am receiving a lot of spam registrations. I’m running a custom function to filter out bot registrations without IP addresses, but there’s still a flow of fake registrations with an IP address.

I wondered if there’s a function/API within Antispam Bee where I can pass an email address and IP address and it return a true/false output depending on whether it passes/fails a spam check?

I don’t collect name and there’s no comment field – I don’t know if Antispam Bee requires these when checking for spam, or whether it can reliably check if an IP/email address is blacklisted from just supplying an email address and an IP address.

    Hi @csn123,
currently ASB is not very flexible in this direction, but this is one of our goals for the refactor-project. We want to modularize the tests and have an API, which would enable third parties to utilize ASB for checking spam.

Unfortunatly, so far we do not have a roadmap until when we will be done with this task as it involves a lot of thinking through and organizing the tasks, but its on our list.

All the best and thanks for your question,
    David.
