I informed this plugins support of various virus warnings I kept getting every time I loaded a system to protect my wordpress site, no matter what antivirus plugin I selected they all reccomended de installing the plugin, and removing it. The support reply to my issue was and I quote; “Its ok, dont wory”

The same isue applies to all three plugins they bundle Easy Gallery, East Slider and Easy popup. £50 quids worth

Support will not refund your money even if you request it back within 24 hour of purchase and offer to return the Licences, I for one feel the plugin looks and works like a dream but the service and support ar rubbish.

    @all

We want to confirm regarding this case for you ( deanmcdonald ) and to all users :

The warnings issued by most antivirus plugin just because we use the base64 decode/encode/eval PHP function.

    Learn more here :

The important thing you should know that we do not use these function on Lite/Free version

Most antivirus equate the use of base64 decode/encode/eval like somebody that use this function for bad purpose and like when they find the malicious code in Free and nulled WordPress plugin out there.

    Another case : Here

But honestly it’s not fair for developers who do not have a bad intentions like us. Sad but true…

So I would say the same as before “Its ok, dont worry

This is what I mean; YOU don’t grasp the fear we have as users of your plugins.

A comment like “it’s ok, don’t worry” and another favourite of yours is “You can ignore it and we can make sure that file is safe.” is not doing anything for your street credibility!

We, your clients! Need reassurances that your code can’t be hacked or maliciously manipulated IN ANY WAY! and that there is absolutely no chance whatsoever of anyone ever hacking in to the effected page code and php files. We demand you prove without any question left that our websites will remain uncompromised by any of your plugins. NOTHING ELSE WILL DO!

Simply saying it’s “ok” or it’s the Malware or Antivirus fault is not good enough reassurance any more.

Sales will be down over this issue and the more of us complain the better. YOU should sort it out NOW!

The support is rubbish by the way, the takes ages to get a reply to questions for help, if they reply at all. It took them 5 hours to reply to this review though,, hmmmm now that was fast!:)

By the way they still didn’t refund me my money, so Buyer beware!

I cannot blame you for thinking that, because the Antivirus really tell that there is an infection.

Most Antivirus programs don’t explain the user that the alert is displayed only because it’s a legitimate tool that might be used by hackers.
They simply tells the user that the tool is malicious or virus, even it’s not really the truth.

BUT, you must remember if they are provide us the option to be able to add any detected files to the exception list, right? This is the point, TRUST.
