    Hello @cs-ilck

Try to disable the anti-crawler option.

    Please, go to plugin settings
    WP Dashboard->Settings->CleanTalk Anti-Spam and unpick Anti-Crawler option.
    Then, click “Save changes”.

    Thank you!

    Thanks Alex

Is this a feature you don’t see during the trial perhaps?

Also, will removing it make the sites more susceptible to spam?

    Cheers

The trial period has no restrictions. It is fully functional.

If you delete the plugin, the site comes back to its statement before the plugin was installed.

    Be well,

Ahh ok, odd that it suddenly started appearing when we didn’t see it before.

Would you recommend keeping the screen active – is there any other way of stopping it appearing for legitimate traffic accessing the CMS?

    Thanks again

The team does its best to prevent false positives from Anti-Crawler.

We will improve the logic within 2 – 3 weeks. For this time if you see false positive splashes, please, keep AntiCrawler disabled.

    Hello,

I think we fixed the problem.

Please, reinstall the plugin. ( Download link: https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/releases/download/dev-version/cleantalk-spam-protect.zip )

    Here is an instruction:

    1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
    2. Find the plugin “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
    3. After the automatic page refresh find the plugin again “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
    5. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
    4. Download the plugin archive from the link above.
    6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.

Contact us if you have any questions

Hi, I’ve been using CleanTalk (paid) version for quite some time, and update it often. However, on my own site I got a splash screen too, and one of my clients installed the plugin last week and visiting their site I also got the splash screen.

Of course we turned off the anticrawler option.

    However,
apparently the issue is still not fixed 100%

    Hello,

Could you try the dev version? We’ve made some fixes.

    Best regards

Hi, thnx for the reply – and link to zip of dev version.

Once I have some time I’ll check it; quite busy right now with some other things with higher priorities (and turning off the anti crawler option a quick kind of ‘solution’ for now).

    You are welcome, Marc.

Don’t forget to enable the option “Complete Deactivation” before re-installing the anti-spam:
    ? WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —> set the option “Complete Deactivation” to “On” —> Save Changes;

    Ok, thnx!

Once the dev version makes it to a final version, I guess the issue can be solved by just updating to that latest version?

    (@serge00)

    Yes, you are correct.
All changes and fixes will be included in the next stable release.

    Thank you! ??
