You can implement a captcha for your whole site (it’s better it each plugin doesn’t implement their own captcha every time, that wouldn’t work well). One user of mine actually wrote an article about it, but I can’t seem to find it anymore – but it’s somewhere, and it didn’t seem very difficult
Captcha are however quite annoying, you’ll lose visitors and AI bots are learning to use them – so it’s better to find another way ??
I think the best way is to forbid words and IPs in the Security settings of the plugin. Also, you can set limits through the filters I have. In the Pro Version, there are a few settings to actually handle those limits directly, to avoid going over thresholds.
