Answer required option, emailing text box responses to admin

I’ll try to answer your questions one by one:

1. Answer required option for all the questions category- specially for the Single answer (radio button), multiple answer (Check boxes) and for the reflection (with text boxes) questions type. So a student must answer the question before check the answer. Otherwise, student check the answer without answering the question and got the answer correct.

– We could certainly build in a from checker for the quizzes, highlighting questions that the student may have missed. We’ll look at getting this done for the next release.

2. Currently when student choose a wrong answer and then click for check answer, then all the feedback of different responses has been shown. Is it possible to show only the feedback of the chosen answer? Not all the feedback at a time.

– this is not something that we are planning on doing soon. I’m not entirely sure how this would work regarding interface. There would need to need to be an option, possibly in the shortcode that says if you want to only display the feedback for selected answer.

3. Is it possible to email the reflection (with text box) type answers to the admin. That means what student writes in the text box will email/ or stored in the result page once he clicks on the check answer. But if he does not write anything but decided to check answer, then it will not allow him to check the answer,. answer must be required (refer to point 1)

– I don’t quite understand what you need here – but the latest version allows you to automatically email an admin when a quiz is finished.
Could you explain in more detail as I’m trying to understand the context of why you want text box submitted answers emailed.

Sorry for very late reply. The last point is that, consider
-for a single reflection type (with text box) question,
-not in a quiz, rather a single question only
-Right now, when a student write in the text box and click on check answer, then it just shows the feedback below. However, is it possible to sent the students response to an email and at the same time the feedback will appear below?

I have to be honest, that kind of goes against our philosophy of private reflective feedback. The idea was that students could add some text in the box that was private for them. If you wanted you could then display that reflection to them later in the website using the short codes provided, but only they could see what they had written.

I don’t really want to change the way this works as it would prevent participants from being honest on their thoughts.

However, there are loads of other options that would for you. A simple contact form embedded on embedded on the page with appropriate feedback would do exactly what you want I.e. Provide feedback of your choice and email with you with the comments they had written. Exactly the same functionality, but just use a contact form plugin. I’ve taken a look and there are loads of free ones out there.

I have checked the other plugins. But the two features (e.g., showing the feedback to the student and at the same time sending the student’s response to the teacher) together in one plugin, I did not find any.

It wouldn’t be a quiz plugin, you would use a contact form plugin. I’m sure something like gravity forms would do wht you need. It may require a form post though, instead of JavaScript simply showing the feedback. You would simply be using the ‘thank you for contacting us’ text to give the feedback instead.
