(another) Single pic lightbox request

We’re actually working on adding this option to Carousel, but we still have to decide when to trigger Carousel: obviously you might not want to trigger the Carousel view for all single images on your site.

We’ll keep working on that, so keep an eye on the changelog in the future Jetpack releases!

That sounds like a good option, indeed. We’ve also considered adding the Carousel on all images posted using the Image Post Format. We’re weighing every option, and will definitely consider your idea!

It would be good to have it in Carousel. Not just for visitors pleasure and experience, but for consistency. It is stupid to have several CSS, JS scripts for galleries and to install another lightbox plugin (again maybe several CSS, JS) just to could open single image.

Wont mention different look of pop up windows.

If you chose not to have lightbox on single photo then you have that not so professional new window photo open.

So, it is more about professional look and consistency, than about giving visitors something extra.

Colorbox plugin handle it well, but Carousel is much better.
