After updating Woo to 9.2.3 earlier this morning, I found this error when viewing the log tab of the Woo settings. This is reported as from the “log file plugin-woocommerce-2024-09-06”:

2024-09-06T08:21:36+00:00 Warning Empty patterns received from the PTK Pattern Store

Sounds like other Woo users are reporting this error too (I’m not using the LiteSpeed plugin by the way).

Any idea what might be going on here with Woo?

Can you please go to WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions (or?/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-status&tab=action-scheduler) and search for?fetch_patterns?and let me know the status of this action?

We have a PR in review to only log this in more accurate cases?https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/pull/51143

But please note that, although I understand it might be annoying to see those logs printed, this isn’t necessarily something to be worried ??

Thanks @carolm29, I checked that action and it looks like it’s executing daily (twice yesterday for some reason) and status for each occurrence is “complete.”

What exactly is the “PTK Pattern Store” and why is Woo scheduling this action daily? What is it trying to fetch?

Thanks for any insights and for working on a fix here.

Researching, I’ve found this:

Regarding those warnings you’re finding, please note <span style=”box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;”>that we have a?PR for this issue,</span>?which is currently set to be added to WooCommerce 9.4 if the plans don’t change.

Besides seeing this warning, are you experiencing any issues on your website?

It would be best to wait for the WooCommerce 9.4 release.
If you want to go for it, then I suggest reviewing the change on a staging site first for testing and then push to the live site.
