  • Out of the box, these plugins work together well.

I’ve set up a simple test page where you can see that there is no issue when you use a standard theme: https://wp.senff.com

As you can see, the menu on the left is sticky (it looks crappy, since you can see through it, but that’s not the point), and if you click on the “Scroll Test!” link, it scrolls smoothly.

(The “Scroll test” link points to anchor #scrollhere, which is on the page as an H1.)

Here are some things that may help:

    • Did you try checking Dynamic Mode in my plugin’s settings?
    • Did you try it with different themes to see if it’s maybe the theme that’s not playing nice?
    • Did you disable other plugins to see if maybe they may interfere?
    • Do you get any error messages in the console?

Please let me know if that gets you anywhere.

    Thanks for your reply.

    • Dynamic Mode is enabled
    • It doesn’t seem to be needed, because you’ve already done! ??
    • Yes I did.
    • No.

This is a url of my webpage that has this problem. The class “.menucontainer” is set to be sticky in your plugin.

I’m honestly a bit stumped. The sticky menu part works, but the smooth scroll part doesn’t work anymore because (I think) there are now 2 menus, even though only one is visible at the time.

When the menu is sticky, the second menu is active, but the links don’t work properly for that. I’m not sure why — the smooth scroll plugin should just work if there is more than one link pointing to an anchor? So (without trying to pass the buck here) it looks more like an issue with the other plugin — or at least the author should be able to tell us why it’s not working anymore. Can/did you ask him for support and see if he knows what could be the issue?

Note: on my test page, things work when Dynamic Mode is OFF, so you definitely have to uncheck that setting.

I have checked and unchecked the Dynamic Mode several times. But still has problem.
I asked the author of the other plugin. I’m waiting for his reply.
Special thanks to you for trying to help me.
I’ll let you know if the problem gets solved.

Thank you. I’d be very interested to see if he has an idea — if he can point me in the right direction, I may be able to use that to improve my plugin by making it more compatible.

The problem solved. I just changed the other plugin. The new plugin works perfectly with yours.
The new one has even more options.
Thank you again for your help. I rated your plugin 5 stars because of your support.

Glad to hear it’s resolved now, and thanks for your rating!
