Another "Petfinder is down" problem

I am getting the
“Petfinder is down at the moment. Please check back shortly.
Error Code returned:”error. I read over the previous posts with no avail. allow_url_fopen is on, I uncommented the link and received the 100 stat code and all the pet info is showing. I turned on WP_DEBUG and I am receiving some server errors showing saying that I am trying to get the property of a non-object on several lines that trace back to retrieving the status code, which does show 100. I uncommented the print_r($xml) with a no show (of course). I reinstalled the plugin several times just in case. It works fine on my localhost, but not on my webserver. I am using awardspace. Any thoughts?
