I have events manger installed on a multi-site network subsite here:
    https://sis.utk.edu/meetingrooms/request

    and it works fine.

However the same setup does not work here
    https://new.cci.utk.edu/scl/request

    I get:

    Unauthorized Access

You do not have the rights to manage this Event.

Both are running Events Manager 5.9.5

    The working site has this:
Allow anonymous event submissions? Yes No
Would you like to allow users to submit bookings anonymously? If so, you can use the new [event_form] shortcode or em_event_form() template tag with this enabled.
    Guest Default User
    97

Please add a User ID. Events require a user to own them. In order to allow events to be submitted anonymously you need to assign that event a specific user. We recommend you create a “Anonymous” subscriber with a very good password and use that. Guests will have the same event permissions as this user when submitting.

The non working site is slightly different and gives me a user dropdown list.

Any ideas why the non working site doesn’t work and why it gives me different options?

Just to confirm, the ‘Guest Default User’ user role has the correct user capabilities settings under events > settings > general ? e.g. edit_events

It looks like this was a site vs network permissions issue. I fixed it I still don’t understand why my plugin installs, 2 different multisite networks, latest plugin version, have a different Anonymous User options but that’s not really a problem, just an oddity.
