Anonymous Communication?

  • Hello,

    Can you please explain how Anonymous Communication works? Because the
    wording in admin settings doesn’t help me much (“Check this option to hide the contact information for potential buyers while negotiation is going on. This can be useful when working with vendors who would be paying you a commission.”)

    It would make sense if it would refer to the situation where WC Vendors plugin and Offers – WC Vendors Extension are both activated and thus Vendors would not see contact information of Buyers (names + emails).

    But it is not clear how this works and what exactly is “contact information”.

    Thanks for writing us here.
    Well the option is actually built for a Multivendor store using WC vendors and our plugin along with WC vendors extension. So when you set anonymouse communication then no buy information will be shared with the vendor, something like this https://prntscr.com/k83plk.

    Even when you are using WC vendors pro and have ability to manage offer in fornt-end vendors dashboard, this option hide buyer information from vendors. Its a pretty cool option if you want to make the communciation between buyer and user anonymous.

    Thank you for your response.

    Two more questions:

    1. Would I (as Admin) still be able to see the offers / counter-offers made between Vendors and Buyers?

    2. If I enable Anonymous Communication, will I (as admin) still see who the actual buyer is? I mean, it will not appear as “Potential Buyer” to me, right?

    1- Yeah, you can see the offers under WC > offers
    2- Yeah, the option is supposed to work on front-end user’s only.
