Anonymity settings?

    Hi there,

    I am very interested in using your plugin in a health-/disease-related environment where people should be able to ask anything health-/disease-related while being guaranteed that while using the chat, they are completely anonymous (no IP address shown or even saved to me etc.). I still want the chat transcript saved (and maybe the username) but nothing more!

    Is your plugin able to handle this? (Maybe in the PRO version?)

    Hi Thomas.

    Thank you for your interest in our plugin.

    Our plugin allows you to view the history of previous chats in the Pro version.

    Currently, It records the user’s name and email address (You can choose for them to enter it or not), as well as the user’s user agent of their browser and IP address.

    Their IP address is only recorded for geographical purposes though.

    Would you prefer for something like this to not be stored at all? Perhaps we can come up with a workaround for this.

    thanks for getting back.

    When talking about internet anonymity, I think it’s really important that I can asure the website visitor / chat user that I can neither see his IP address nor is it saved somewhere in the script.

    Could you implement this feature in your plugin?

    I don’t mind waiting as the start of the mentioned health-related projekt is still some months away (at least!). But I’d be very happy if you really could addd this feature sooner or later – I would go PRO with your plugin for sure! ??

    Hi there.

    Yes. This feature has been to the basic version as of version 4.2.9.
