Annoying problem logging in

    I know my username and password, but whenever I try to login with it, it never lets me. This problem has just started recently.

    When I put in the correct username and password and press enter, it just reloads the form, rather than telling me it’s incorrect. If I enter my username and an incorrect password, the box shakes and tells me it’s wrong.

    I have to reset my password each time, even though i reset it to the same password.

    What’s more strange is, when I open a new incognito window and login then it works, it just doesnt work on a normal browser window :/

    If it works in an Incognito window, it’s likely either an extension or a cookie conflicting.

    Try temporarily deactivating all of your browser’s extensions. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the problem.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try clearing your browser’s cookies and cache.

    Done both and it still doesn’t work.

    I know I’m putting the correct username and passowrd in, but the box doesn’t shake, and simply puts me back again. If I put in the wrong password it shakes, saying I have put the wrong password in…

    And yet it works in an Incognito window? Can you try a different browser, like Firefox?

    Oh, it may be because I was going straight to mydomain.com/wp-admin rather than mydomain.com/wp-login.php!

    Thanks for your help, I’ve resolved the problem. I feel silly!!
