I did a post and linked to some media that didn’t exist and wp threw an error.

The link has since been fixed but I can’t seem to find a way to get the error message to disappear. It appears on every page in the dashboard.

Is there some trick to get this message to go away or what db table is this error stored in so I can get rid of it manually or something?

    Thanks

And what is the error message?

Error (https://traffic.libsyn.com/thequmranreport/Episode_24-The_Qumran_Report-02272012.mp3): The requested URL returned error: 408

The problem was the destination file in the URL wasn’t available when I made the post. It’s since been fixed, but the error message remains.

That’s a server timeout error – not a WordPress error.

Ok, but how to I get rid of it because what cause the timeout has been fixed. How do I dismiss this error? Or what’s causing it to appear? Do I have to remove the post and readd?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
