• Here’s an annoyance that must have a fix: after I create a MultiSite, all of the sites (main and children) are displayed as “/” in the Network Admin/Settings area. How do I enable it so that admins can easily see the name of a site? (The site names are provided in the individual blogs, btw.)

    Did you map domains?

    Are they subdomains or subfolders?

    No mapping. They are subfolders.

Can you show a screenshot of this? I don’t see this on a test site.

Interesting. Since the sub-sites were new and had little content, I deleted the sites. When I recreated them, there was a chance to add site titles. For whatever reason, the “Edit” option in the Sites section does not include the ability to change the site’s name.

Well … no ?? You shouldn’t change the site ‘slug’ after you make the site. You can edit the display name all you want, but if you change the slug, you’ll break things ??

I know you shouldn’t mess with the site slug once created. I had hoped you could also edit the display name via the Network Admin/Sites page. It’s a small thing, but it would be nice to see Site XYZ, rather than /sitexyz in the admin page.

    You mean at /wp-admin/network/sites.php ?

    Right.

Aaah, okay I thought you were trying to edit … never mind. Misread ??

Yes, that would be handy! Hmm.
