Announcement ticker highlighter scroller fatal error allowed memory size

This plugin used up the memory so I could not edit any posts.
I tried increasing php memory and all kind of stuff.
The only way to fix memory was to deactivate it.
Are there known memory issues?
Because I do like the way it does its thing if it don’t crash.
