  • I have recently installed your plugin, v3.3.13.0, running the latest version of WP 4.4.2. I am using your default spreadsheet template without any changes, I have tried with both shortcode [timeline src=”Your source url here”] and with <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[timeline src=”Your source url here”]’); ?> on a WP page.

This is the following error I am getting….

MISSING START DATE. MAKE SURE THE HEADERS OF YOUR GOOGLE SPREADSHEET HAVE NOT BEEN CHANGED.

Alternatively I attempted to try it with your iFrame method and it works fine.

Support questions like this are really better directed to knightlab.zendesk.com.

I think that the documentation in our plugin is slightly inaccurate. If you just recently made the spreadsheet, you must include version='timeline3' in your shortcode. If you use the UI, that gets entered automatically, but we couldn’t make it the default without potentially affecting timelines created with the previous version of TimelineJS and the corresponding plugin.

If that doesn’t solve your issue, then either here or at knightlab.zendesk.com, can you provide the URL to the spreadsheet you are using?

My apologizes, but I did not see the UI from within the WP page, it must not of loaded correctly. On the plus side, it works!

Thank you for getting back to me so promptly, I look forward to using your plugin.

No reason to apologize — we should have accurate documentation for people who want to use PHP code directly too!
