    Yesterday I upgraded to the latest version of WP Sticky. I have my home page set up as an ‘announcement’ post. Since the upgrade, I now have the words Announcement: in front of the title.

    Check out my blog and you will see what I mean : https://powerbankreview.com/

    I now someone else who has the same issue after the recent update. Prior to the upgrade, I did not have this problem.

    How do I get rid of Announcement: from the beginning of the title?

    Thanks,
    Franc

  • I too have the same issue.

    I believe it is supposed to be affected by the “Announcement Banner:” field in the settings, but no matter what I change this to, it doesn’t work!

    I too would like to get rid of the word “Announcements:” in the title.

    As a workaround, I’ve just gone back to the old version.

    I contacted Lester Chan and he responded with:

    Actually, it is a bug. The announcement prefix has always been in the plugin. Just that it is a bug that prevents it from displaying.

    To remove this feature, just remove line 198 https://github.com/lesterchan/wp-sticky/blob/master/wp-sticky.php#L198.

    I removed line 198 and it worked perfectly. ??

    @magrun: Thank you! Resolved.
