The fadein-up animations that are characteristic of the widgeted home page areas would be nice for Genesis Blocks to have. There are many page-builders that have animations you can add. I think if this could be applied via the Genesis Container block that would apply to its contents, this could be used in both specific and larger areas on the pages. Once the page’s area scrolls into view, the animation could be applied.

  • Hi @stinkykong –?this is a great idea for a plugin! It would be able to apply “entry” transitions to content blocks, with options for transition style, timing, and scroll start.

Ultimately, I think this type of feature set is probably best in a plugin separate from Genesis Blocks, so that it can apply to _all_ blocks, even those registered by WordPress Core.

So, I’d suggest that it’s a bit out of scope for Genesis Blocks right now, but I’ll definitely keep my ears tuned for more of these types of requests for Genesis.

Currently GoDaddy’s CoBlocks adds animation capability to any block or blocks that are “grouped”. In my opinion, their animations are not as tastefully coiffed as Studio Press themes’ animations are. I must say that if we’re moving away from widgetted home pages where these tasteful animations are applied and also as the main thrust of development is applied now to the Genesis Pro plugin rather than Genesis child themes, this feature should be included in the scope of the plugin in order to maintain the quality we enjoy with Studio Press products.
