• Hi! I’ve made an animation with Edge CC version. I’ve installed the Edge suite plugin in my wordpress site (Bridge Theme), then load the animation and
    everything was ok.
Then loaded the animation in one page, using [edge_animation id=”7″] and sometimes I can see the animation, but then when I refresh the page, or tried in other browsers or computers, I cant see the animation.

I need to put some extra code in the theme files?

    Please help me!!!!!!!

    This is the link https://wowbrandsresearchcom.domain.com/edge/

    Thanks!!!

Please someone can help me with this issue!!

    Hi laucabello,

I took a look at the link you posted above in both Chrome and Firefox. I don’t see any animations. Including when I use the dev console or firebug, I don’t see any code for any animations.

For example, if you visit this test site when you Inspect Element (in Chrome) you will see a lot of code and just above this element you will see the Edge Animate script.

Has anything changed on this page?

If you would like I can take a look at the page through the WP Admin to see if everything is setup correctly. If you would like to try this, please email me directly at info at pacificwebfoundry.com and we can talk further.

    Thanks,

Hi!!!! thanks for your help, I really appreciate!

I’ve just moved the page, now the url is https://wowbrandsresearchcom.domain.com/home-wow/
and I have a big problem, when load the page at first time, the logo (menu top left, and the scroll one page) doesn’t work, but if you refresh the page, and loaded again, everything works fine! it’s very confusing and I don’t know why it happens!

Other thing that I can’t resolved, if I want to upload a responsive animation, nothing happens! loads perfectly but then I can’t see it in browser

I’ll send you and email with the admin access, I can’t sleep thinking about this issue, because my client needs the animation ??

Sorry for my english!!! and thanks again for your help!

    Hi laucabello,

When I looked at the page’s code I did see two things that could be causing problems:

    1) The site is loading jQuery in the version 2 family. It might be better to use the current 1.11.2 version. Other people have run into problems with jQuery ver 2.

    2) The animation is seems to be created in an older version of Animate. I see the Edge runtime is version 4. The current version is 5.0.1

I would try to resolve those two things first.

Email me if you need help,

    Hi again!!!! ??

Where can I replace the jquery version? on the theme or in the animation?
The Animate version is CC 2014, I thought it is the last one, is it possible to update the runtime version?

I have read a lot on the forums, and many people have the same problem as me, they must to refresh the page to see the animation, https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1648309?start=0&tstart=0

    Thanks for your helpppppp!!!!!!!!! ??

    Hi,

Yes other people also have the problem right now. Are you only adding in animations via the plugin and by using shortcodes?

Try opening your composition in Animate, save and re-publish. In your project’s folder, in the edge_includes folder you should see a ver 5 edge runtime. You might also check you Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app to make sure Animate is up to date.

In the WP Admin, under Edge Suite, there is an experimental feature called jQuery NoConflict Mode. If this is on a development version of the site (and you have a backup) you could try turning this feature on.

    @pacweb ??

Now I’m at home and I dont have the animate, I will doing that tomorrow in the morning.
I have access to my wp, and the noConflict Mode was always on.
I’ve been adding the animation via the plugin and using shortcodes. I read that some people add a php code, but I don’t know where to write it, in head.php, function.php, I’m so confuse and stressed ??

    Hi laucabello,

Rule #1 – don’t get stressed. Just relax, you’ll fix it.

While you are waiting, you can try turning the NoConflict Mode off.

Depending on who owns the creative cloud subscription, you might be able to setup Animate at home. I am pretty sure that a subscription does allow you to install apps on a second computer (work and home). But you would have to check the Adobe site to be 100% sure. I know you can install on 1 MAC and 1 Windows machine with the same account.

When you have access to Animate, one thing you can try, is open your project in Animate and save a copy of it. Then publish that copy, upload, and update the shortcode in the page. This will generate a freshly published copy and should give you the updated edge runtime.

As for installing animations via code, you can find out more on the ES installation page. I want to warn you that this can be a bit tricky if you are not used to working with the code. Also where you insert the code depends on your site’s theme. For example, to get my animated logo into my site’s header, I added the code in the functions.php, not the header.php.

Good luck and let us know how it goes,

Hi pacweb! How are u??? I’m at work now starting my day with this issue like always jeje

    A few things
    1. I saw in the project file the runtime v4. But I’ve been trying to update it, and it’s so difficult.

    2. I still have the same problem with the animation, never loads good at the first time, I have to refresh the site.

I don’t know what else to do ??

    Hi,

This is quick message. I am on PST so I have not started work yet.

Open the creative cloud desktop app and see if there is an update to Animate.

Otherwise I may need to look at your Animate project, if that is ok. Email me at [email protected] and we can set up a way for you to send me your project.

    Thanks,

Is there any news about this fix? I’m having exactly the same problem (except IE)

+ I tried the jQuery NoConflict mode
+ I tried the Edge Suite debug mode
+ I tried a fresh wordpress install with default theme
+ I tried to host files on Adobe CDN (both -> all or nothing)

    Fresh install: https://testsite.sps.nl
    Regular install: https://eux.gensys.nl
