    Hi Guys

I have an intermittent issue with the animated mobile menu not working. When you tap the menu it does not expand.
Sometime it doesn’t, if you reload the page it works.
Ive excluded the JS files from being minified,
I have a console error but its nothing to with menus, it’s a Google Tracking issue linked to Woocommerce

FYI: no online mobile testing shows this issue. You must use a real device.
I debug in Safari with my Phone connected to my Mac
Tested on iPhone 4 to 11

    Thanks

    Hi saltmediadevon,

I’ve checked using BrowserStack (real devices) on iPhone XS, 10, 7 and 6 and it’s working in all of them for me.

If it is intermittent then I suspect as you say it is some issue with caching or minification (either on the server or on the phone itself). I’ve checked the page source and the files are still minified for me (I searched for maxmegamenu.js – the file that is responsible for toggling the mobile menu, but didn’t find it), so maybe on desktop you are only seeing the unminified version because you are still logged in as an admin, but on your phone you are getting the cached version.

To investigate the issue further I would need to see the page 100% uncached/minified, and then exact steps to replicate the issue.

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi Tom

Thanks for the reply, I carried on investigating last night and it appears to be fixed(?)
Strange that you couldn’t find maxmegamenu.js as that is one of the files i excluded from any minification and concatenation.

After me being sure that the showing Woocommerce Google Tracking console error had nothing to do with it I went a head and gone through removing all the associated options from Analytics and turned the linked options off from WordPress

I slowly added all the options back on and tested and tested and now the console error is non existent and the menu hasn’t faltered, fingers crossed.

The issue was with the Enhanced E-commerce Reporting in Google analytics combined with the WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration plug-in.

But why it was affecting MMM i have no idea
